Dalf is a contraction of “From Beginning to Hunger.” A fun little play on words that echoes the circular nature of the project, while positioning itself in sustainable food for all. The icing on the cake is that it works very well with “you have the dalf.”

From the earth, quite simply! That's right, our fruits and vegetables come directly from the fields. We buy them from farmers, without any middlemen. We have chosen not to buy unsold produce from large retailers because our mission is to support local agriculture and be as close as possible to it.

No, fruits and vegetables are purchased from Belgian producers. We are fighting for fair compensation for all stakeholders, starting with the people at the source of our food system.

It's a commitment, and it's also what justifies the prices of Dalf creations. Because in addition to being organic and local, they are also responsible for the cause.

The fruits and vegetables saved from waste are then processed in a production workshop in Brussels by our passionate team.

Dalf recipes are definitely seasonal, but the ( second ) good news is that you can eat them all year round thanks to our natural preservation process. This is called pasteurization, which allows the product to be kept for 1 year at room temperature. Great, right?

Yes, absolutely! The fruits and vegetables saved by Dalf retain all their flavor and nutritional value and are therefore perfectly edible. They only have minor external defects, but at Dalf, we consider this to be their most attractive feature. In fact, we buy them ultra-fresh, straight from the fields.

Dalf products are 100% certified organic by Certysis, the pioneer of organic certification in Belgium. This means that all the ingredients we use in our recipes are organic, not just the fruits and vegetables.
